AAA Member Update #8

Welcome to our member update. Our fortnightly update is our way of communicating more effectively with all AAA members.

CEO News

Membership renewals now open

AAA Memberships for 2019/20 are now open - log into eAlpaca to renew or contact the office if you require further information.

Members are reminded of the 20% discount on all animal registration fees from now until 30 June 2019.

Effective from 1 July, a 3% rise will apply to all animal transfer fees. Whilst the Board is conscious of price pressures on its members, the increase is necessary to enable the company to meet its own cost increases. Members will have the opportunity between now and 30 June to transfer animals at the current price.

Membership and animal registration fees will not increase.

Vale Graeme Dickson

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Life Member, Graeme Dickson. Joining in 1992, Graeme has made an enormous contribution to the industry, particularly in the areas of fleece and fibre. He was instrumental in establishing alpaca fleece standards, fleece classing courses and an alpaca classing agreement between AAA and AWEX.

He held numerous committee positions including Regional President, Vice President and Treasurer, as well as serving as AAA National Vice President in 1995 and 1998. Graeme was inducted as a Life Member of the AAA in 2005. His friendship, expertise and knowledge has been valued by many of you over time. Graeme was a true gentleman and a wonderful advocate for our industry.

We send our sincere condolences and love to wife Lyn and family.
