Trainings:  

Improving communication in EC environments not only fosters better learning outcomes but also enhances social skills and emotional development for all children.  Learn how to use visual supports in the preschool classroom. 

The Curriculum Framework training aims to empower educators to confidently support children with IEPS, taking into account the key elements of a curriculum framework, and how they work in tandem to nurture children and families.

Resources

• The Early Childhood Education Resource Hub remains a valuable resource for birth to five.  The Hub includes access to the ELDS Webinar Series and the Effective Strategies Library.  

• The DEC Resources Within Reason series includes free, shareable one-pagers that can be used with families and practitioners to support evidence-based practices at home and school.

Information

•  Visual conversation boards, referred to as Snack Talks, can be used to help children communicate during meal and snack times as part of routine-based learning.  Examples of Snack Talk cards can be found here.
