This Conference will be held at Brighton Secondary School and will provide an excellent opportunity for educators and teachers to exchange ideas about STEM teaching and learning and to maintain and develop valuable networks. Keynote speakers include Fiona Rabone who will share experiences and ideas opportunities gained from participating in the IODP School of Rock 2018 and Dr Justin M. This book was written by Dr Kathy Adams to complement the current Stage 1 Biology SACE Board of South Australia subject content for South Australian students. RACI December Chemistry Teachers’ Workshop

Friday 7 December | Flinders University

The workshop will focus on some aspects of the SACE Stage 2 Chemistry course. The sessions include a presentation by Associate Professor Ronald Smernik from the University of Adelaide on soil chemistry, hands-on laboratory activities that will provide ideas for practical investigations and a forum on the science as a human endeavour strand of the SACE subject outline.

Australian of the Year Luncheon

Monday 26 November

These are the words of Professor Michelle Simmons, the 2018 Australian of the Year. Michelle is one of the world's leading researchers on quantum computing, something set to revolutionise almost every part of our society. 

Professor Simmons is the keynote speaker for this luncheon where she will share her vision, her passion for scientific research and education. She will also share the stage with the soon-to-be-announced 2019 Australian of the Year for SA and a wonderful group of musicians, singers and dancers.

2018 Chemistry Spectacular

Wednesday 21 November

Join us for an energetic live chemistry stage show for all ages. Witness attention grabbing experiments that glow, erupt, explode and ignite, plus discover the chemistry that happens behind the smoke and lights. Our chemists will explain how these processes apply to our everyday lives.

Presented by The University of Adelaide Department of Chemistry this dynamic demonstration will help you appreciate the world from an atomic level.
