Lab Bench to Commercialization

The Eberly College of Science’s unique Lab Bench to Commercialization initiative enables researchers to enhance commercial potential of ongoing research and prepares them to translate their IP to the marketplace. This competitive grant funding is managed by the Eberly Office for Innovation within the Office of the Associate Dean for Research. For donors wishing to support the College’s efforts to encourage faculty innovation and commercialization, the University offers a 1:1 match for endowments created for Lab Bench to Commercialization (LB2C) through its economic development initiative. Alumni Open Houses

The Penn State Eberly College of Science will hold open houses for Eberly alumni and their families each Friday before home football games. Join us for appetizers, meet college administrators, faculty and students; meet up with old friends; reminisce about your time on campus; and learn cool new stuff!
The first open house will be on Friday, September 10.

The academic calendar is subject to change without notice. In preparing the calendar for an academic year, it is impossible to avoid conflict with some religious holidays. As conflicts arise, efforts are made to make special arrangements for students affected.

Randall McEntaffer named head of Department of Astronomy and Astrophysics

Randall McEntaffer, professor of astronomy and astrophysics, physics, and of materials science and engineering, has been named the new head of the Department of Astronomy and Astrophysics, effective August 1, 2021.
