UoD IT is making changes to University email on Wednesday 31 August. This means you will use your full username (e.g. jbloggs@dundee.ac.uk) to sign in from that date.

A new, self-service, password reset feature will also appear in your account.

Phishing scams are doing the rounds again, unfortunately. Those highlighted to the internal comms team include phone calls claiming to be from HMRC and emails requesting information about Apple IDs.

As part of the Tay Road Bridge 50th birthday celebrations, Dundee alumni and urban artists Fraser Gray and Martin McGuiness have spent a month transforming the forgotten space under the bridge with striking murals.

Along with Professor Tracy Mackenna, students from DJCAD are participating in the SPACES OF UNCERTAINTY summer academy, taking place in Stuttgart, Germany between 5 and 15 September 2016).

The summer academy is the result of ongoing cooperation between the participating art schools and represents an additional programme in the development of sustainable and collaborative teaching and learning processes linking students, teachers and curators from different locations across Europe.

Any support for the students' fundraising would be greatly appreciated. 

Participants are required for an eye-tracking study that investigates how people understand and use knowledge of character's perspectives when listening to stories and viewing scenes. It's a very easy 'look and listen' task, which takes about 45 minutes to complete, and participants can get three participation credits or £5 for their time.

Participants need to be a native speaker of English with no language disorders.

Volunteers are required for a single session lasting approximately 30 minutes, in which they will be required to walk at their normal speed whilst striking a pressure plate embedded into the floor. This will provide data which can be analysed for any changes that take place in foot structure during weight carrying.

Volunteers should have healthy feet, be aged between 18-60, and be able to travel to the Institute of Motion Analysis & Research at the Ninewells campus.

Are you "Dundee, born and bred"? Or are you from the surrounding area? Alissa Melinger is looking for monolingual Scottish individuals to take part in an object naming study. The study will take no longer than 1 hour and participants will receive £6 compensation for their time.

DJCAD PhD student Alejandro Ball is looking for help with his research project.

He’s been over to Russia to hear about how the implementation of the country’s recent Internet content law has affected artists – particularly when it comes to creating memes.

Alejandro has invited two Russian artists to come over to Dundee in October to take part in his exhibition that will be held at Centrespace Gallery in October.

At this stage the Kickstarter campaign will help fund a research publication and travel expenses to get the artists to the opening night of the exhibition.
