1. Salmonella outbreak tied to cucumbers slowing; investigation continues

Canadian officials say a Salmonella outbreak associated with fresh cucumbers appears to be winding down, but they are continuing their investigation in hopes of pinpointing the source of the bacteria that infected 55 people across the country.

3. Salmonella outbreak in Sweden with 33 ill

The first illness onset date is Sept. 27, and the last one reported was Oct. 28 The investigation is ongoing. It is mainly adults who have fallen ill and they come from 14 counties in Sweden. The ages range from one to 76 years but no deaths have been reported.

7. Salmonella in raw milk cheese sickens 14 in France; recall underway

Fourteen people are part of a Salmonella outbreak in France linked to raw milk cheese. There have been 11 alerts in the past six months for foodborne pathogens in cheese from France, according to the RASFF portal.
