Oyster Shucking on the Sidewalk

Sunday, February 22
11am 'til they're gone

Mark your calendars and join us once again as we line the sidewalk with extra tables for all you oyster lovers!

We'll be shucking a mountain of briny bivalves from Two X Sea. We'll have 'em both raw & bar-b-que'd. We'll have lots of rosé at the ready. Keep your fingers crossed for a warm, sunny day in Dogpatch so all you have to do is sit back, relax, sip some wine, suck down some oysters & soak up some rays.

Happy Not-So-New Year!

While we await (and pray for) rain, we took advantage of a short window in the life of the our wonderful Bay Area farmers - a slower time when the land and its stewards pause - and had our first Farmers Appreciation Lunch at Piccino. We hosted about 30 representatives from some of our farm partners (a very small percentage of those we buy from over the course of a year!).

It was a very cheerful and heartwarming event, expressions of appreciation flying across the tables for the exceptional produce they grow and animals they raise, and for the tasty renditions on our plates that everyone was enjoying together - cooks, farmers, chefs and owners. Possibly the best way we can think of to spend an afternoon.

Many thanks to all of them!

Tenbrink, Five Dot, Iacopi, Devoto and Tomatero.

Two X Sea, Heritage, Fifth Crow, Good Faith, Acme and the Marin Agricultural Institute.

Chef Anne, her team, the Rojas Family Farm and Far West Fughi.

Devils Gulch, Tomales Farmstead, Marin Roots.

Our New Private Event Space

Our beloved Yellow Building continues to be a vibrant and sunny home for our many businesses, and continues to provide opportunities for populating its many nooks and crannies!

We just leased a space directly above us that we intend to use for private gatherings - lunch with the office, power breakfasts, birthdays, classes, off-site meetings - where as many as 30 people can be accommodated. We are rolling out the first few events carefully and slowly while we fine-tune the details and iron out any possible wrinkles, but stay tuned for details.
