Dear Parents & Friends,

Welcome to our fourth edition of the Kennedy Parents Connect newsletter for 2021. We hope all our students, families, and staff enjoyed a very exciting, busy and fulfilling Term 3.

Our Community Open Day on Saturday 21 August 2021 was a remarkable success. We would like to say thank you to our volunteers that assisted before, during and after the Open Day. We value your time, efforts, and contribution. Open Day would not have been possible without you. We are pleased to announce that the P&F has raised more than $4,000. We will now look at where these funds could be best used to support and enhance the College. Please click here to see the photos.

Thank you to all who supported our most recent fundraiser Billy G’s Gourmet Cookie Dough. We collectively sold 805 tubs which was an amazing outcome and the total amount fundraised was over $2,800. Please see below how you can collect your order. *Please be advised that the cookie dough must be collected tomorrow between the allocated times!

Collection Date: Friday 24 September 2021
Time: Between 10.00am – 1.00pm
Location: Kennedy Baptist College Room 5.1 (Food Technology Room)

General Meeting

The P&F Association will continue to work closely with the College throughout the remainder of 2021 to support the whole College community. If you are unaware of what happens at the P&F and why it exists, I invite you to come along to our General Meeting on Wednesday 13 October at 6.30pm in the Staff Lounge. We value all our parents and friends, along with the wide scope of expertise and talents that you would bring to the committee. So, if you have a desire and willingness to serve, be involved with your children/s academic years and want to see remarkable things happen in the life of our College, come along, and see what all the excitement is about. We look forward to your ongoing support throughout Term 4 and hope to see you and welcome you onboard the P&F.

We wish you all a wonderful school holiday break and look forward to seeing everyone in Term 4.

Sing to God, sing in praise of his name, extol him who rides on the clouds; rejoice before him—his name is the Lord. A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling. Psalm 68: 4-5

How will we keep you connected?

  • P&F Facebook page – this is a great avenue for us to keep you up to date with all the latest and greatest news as well as a tool for parents to sell books and uniforms.  If you would like to be a part of the page please use the request to join and our secretary, Lorinda, will follow that up.

  • Kennedy Parent’s Connect – this is a newsletter specifically from the P&F which is sent to families each term.  It will have more detailed information than the Facebook page for all the relevant events at the time.  It will also have articles of interest or ideas and tips on parenting, schooling or even just life.

  • College Newsletter – only dates of events and P&F contact details will be in the fortnightly College newsletter.
