What will students gain from the degree?
The MEI is a new 2 year masters degree that has been forged with the latest thinking in business and developed with input from leaders in entrepreneurship and successful start-ups. It will give students the creative, intellectual, and motivational skills necessary to identify and create new business opportunities, to start their own business, or initiate new ventures within existing companies.

Workplace experience
The University of Tasmania is a firm believer that hands-on experience is the key to success in the cut-throat business world. To that end, we have incorporated work integrated learning across the MEI curriculum - from live case studies to simulations, workshops with industry experts to opportunities to work with new ventures – students may even develop a new start-up of their own.

Who is the MEI for?
Prior experience in start-ups or in business studies is not required – just the passion for innovation, and an undergraduate degree or relevant graduate certificate.* Even better, if students have relevant prior learning, they could gain credit and complete their degree in less than the usual two-year period.* Find out more about our Master of Entrepreneurship and Innovation now!
