Alberta has an investor tax credit, now what?

Alberta has an investor tax credit, now what?

As you’ve probably heard in Chamber communications by now, the provincial budget in April included the creation of a new Alberta Investor Tax Credit (AITC) for small- and medium-sized businesses.

Over the past few weeks a whole bunch of members have asked us:

  • “How will the new Alberta Investor Tax Credit work?”
  • “Can my business take advantage of it?”

In this blog, we’ll bring you up to speed with the present answers to those questions.

Learn more about when it comes into effect and how it will work.

This week we bring you a primer on Snapchat so you can dip your toes in without getting hurt.

While many companies are still trying to figure out just where the opportunity is for them amidst the filters and stickers, the low hanging fruit is likely in customer support. Let your customers snap a question to you and quickly snap an answer back.

What are you waiting for? Start snapping!

The Arlene Flock McKen Cloud Lounge at Studio Bell

The Arlene Flock McKen Cloud Lounge at Studio Bell

Arlene Flock McKen served on the Calgary Chamber Board from 2007 – 2012 and during her tenure, there was no greater champion for small business, entrepreneurship, supporting local first, and generally getting stuff done.

Studio Bell, home of the National Music Centre, was a project Arlene supported. It is with her legacy in mind that a group of Arlene’s family and friends came together with the National Music Centre to select a space inside Studio Bell that could be named in her honour. Together, they are actively raising funds to name The Cloud Lounge, on the 5th floor and adjacent to the bridge over 4th St., in Arlene’s memory.

Head to NMC.ca/support to learn how you can support this tribute to Arlene's memory and incredible spirit.
