Join our Health Professions School Applicants Networking Space to ask & answer questions about any part of the application process. We want this to be a safe place for our Penn State applicants to have open and honest discussions about their candidacy. We will begin using this platform to send out important application and exam announcements. Join our PreHealth Group Advising module to learn about preparing for a career in your chosen health profession, and gain access to the pre-health advising team.

THE COM PODThe Idaho College of Osteopathic Medicine (ICOM) has released their official podcast titled "The COM Pod" and we want to share it with you. From technology tips to advice for prospective medical students and everything in between, The COM Pod offers a behind-the-scenes look at life at Idaho's first medical school as told by its students, faculty and staff. Including these great episodes on Osteopathic Medicine 101 and OMM 2020 Virtual NIH Graduate and Professional School FairThe NIH is pleased to announce the 2020 Virtual NIH Graduate & Professional School Fair. The event will consist of (1) live workshops (August 4th, 2020) (2) prerecorded workshops, panels, and interviews (recordings will be available on the OITE YouTube channel on or after August 4, 2020), and (3) online exhibitor sessions (August 5th through 7th , 2020). Students need to register to get the links of each session and for the virtual exhibitor session links and schedule. This is a great opportunity for students interested in graduate, medical, MD/PhD programs, as well as Public Health, Clinical Psychology, Genetic Counseling, Data Science/Computational Biology/Bioinformatics, Bioengineering and Academic Postbac Programs.

Explore Healthcare CareersSaint Elizabeth University (SEU), in collaboration with the NJ Hospital Association, will hold a virtual health career fair targeted toward high school and undergraduate students on September 15, 2020 from 12:00-2:00 PM. The virtual fair will educate and expand your knowledge about various healthcare careers and will be led by SEU faculty and area clinical partners. You will be provided with a list of careers with zoom links. Health professionals from that career will deliver 20 minute mini sessions and will discuss their role on the health team. The list of health professionals volunteering their time grows daily! We currently have Respiratory Therapists, Physician Assistants, Occupational Therapists, Speech Therapists, Nurses, Social Workers and more! Contest: You will be asked to visit at least five careers and log the name of the health professional leading the session. Once you’ve attended 5 sessions, you can submit your list of names, along with your name, for a prize drawing.
