Certificate IV Screen & Media Studies | 27 February
80% of graduates walk in to work after graduating from Metro Screen’s fully accredited Certificate IV Screen & Media studies course. This week is your last chance to secure the final place in the 15 limited places for the February intake.
Production Management | 6 March – 16 May
This thorough and in-depth course demystifies the role of a Production Manager, providing participants with the confidence and skills to run any scale of production. Participants receive comprehensive course notes and production templates, and learn how to manage all aspects of a shoot including budgets and expenses, call sheets, schedules, contracts and awards.
Camera and Lighting Techniques | 25 February - 04 March
This course covers intermediate camera operation and techniques of cinematography. Participants will perform a number of practical exercises during this hands-on course learning skills relating to studio and location lighting, scene coverage, framing and camera movement.
AVID Media Composer 6 Fundamentals | 18 March - 1 April
Learn the basics of editing with Avid's newest editing software – Media Composer 6. During the course you will cover a range of topics including system settings, capturing, editing and trimming techniques, finishing and exporting.
Film Producing | 22 March - 24 May
Film Producing takes an in-depth look at producing independent films. From recognising a good concept through to marketing and distribution, this course covers the essentials of securing funding, pitching, hiring crew, dealing with legal responsibilities, selling your finished film and running a production company.

Shir Madness Music Festival is a community cultural event we've been running at the Bondi Pavilion over the last 2 years. We are about to run our second festival [the first in 2010 saw 2000 guests entertained by 40 bands over a 10 hour day]. There are volunteering opportunities in Sound/Lighting/Stage Production at our upcoming festival on 25th March 2012.

Lebowski Bash Australia
Australia’s first "Lebowski Bash" is coming to Sydney This year, for the first time in history, hundreds of Aussie Dudes will come together under one roof and raise a White Russian to the American Cult Classic film, The Big Lebowski. Known as ‘Lebowski Bash Australia’ the event is a tribute to the original Coen brothers 1998 film and Lebowski festivals worldwide. The first annual Lebowski Bash Australia is taking place 1st April 2012 at the Randwick Ritz cinema in Sydney.
