In an animal model, fucoidan was shown to promote bone growth and accelerate the formation of new blood vessels (angiogenesis). These findings suggest a potential application for fucoidan in enhancing bone repair. Fucoidan reduces intestinal damage from chemotherapy In a recent animal study, researchers found that fucoidan reduced intestinal mucosal damage caused by the chemotherapy agent, cyclophosphamide.
