Chidlow Tavern Easter Breakfast and Golden Egg Hunt

Sunday 4 April
Celebrate Easter with some EGGCELLENT family fun at The Chidlow Tavern. Buffet breakfast is from 8am-10.30am. Relax and enjoy your food as the kids have fun with their Easter craft kits, followed by the Golden Easter Egg Hunt at 11am, where one lucky child will find the golden egg and win $100! After the Easter Egg Hunt, return to the Tavern for a Kids' DIY Ice Cream Bar where the children get a bowl of vanilla ice cream to decorate from a selection of toppings and sauces. Easter Sunday at The Parky

This Easter Sunday, Brown Sugar will be performing on the outdoor stage from 3.30pm-6.30pm, playing all the rock n roll hits from the good old days!

Mundaring Arts Centre-Coiled Kitchen Containers with Leanne Bray

Thurs 8 & 15 April OR Sun 11 & 18 April
Join Leanne Bray to create rope coiled vessels inspired by the bright palette of fresh produce. Open to all skill levels, this two-part workshop will see you craft a variety of small, colourful vessels, using just thread and rope, that are perfect for storing items such as chillies, garlic and ginger.

Leanne will share stories of her travels through Africa and Asia and her knowledge of the long and vibrant history of baskets as containers for food.

Shire of Mundaring Summer Entertainment - Arena after Dark

Saturday 10 April
A FREE youth-only event for 12-17 year olds, Arena after Dark promises to be heaps of fun with live DJs, a giant ninja obstacle course, arcade games, chill zone, concert lighting and much more. The event is promising to be a not-to-be missed school holiday event for teenagers. Doors open at 7pm and activities run till 10pm. Mundaring Arena, 50 Mundaring Weir Road. Bibbulmun Track - L-Plates Pub Plod

Sunday 11 April
Are you a first timer or do you just occasionally dabble in bushwalking? This is a great way to learn about what the Track has to offer you. The walk (approx. 12km with some hills), takes you through mixed jarrah forest with views over Mundaring Weir to a Bibbulmun Track campsite. Your guides will be on hand to talk to you about walking the Bibbulmun Track and to share their personal experiences, finishing near the walkers’ favourite local haunt, the Mundaring Weir Hotel. 8.30am-2.30pm Event info. here

Heritage on the Heritage Trail with The Hike Collective

Mundaring District Museum - Head for the Hills -Chidlow's WW2 Army Camps

Exhibition finishes Thursday 29 April
‘Head for the Hills’, is a collaboration between Mundaring & Hills Historical Society, Friends of the Chidlow WW2 Camps and Heritage Detection Australia. Using artefacts recently retrieved from Chidlow’s former WW2 Army Camps, the exhibition highlights their role in defending Australia following Japan’s entry into WW2 in December 1941. With c. 50 000 troops passing through the Camps from March 1942 until June 1944, the significance of these camps in understanding the military heritage of WA is clear.
