Kia ora ,

Wellington moves to Level 2 from 6pm tonight.  Auckland remains at Level 1.

Health Minister Chris Hipkins announced Wellington (including Wairarapa and Kāpiti Coast) will move to Alert Level 2 following a confirmed positive case from a Sydney traveler.  The rest of New Zealand stays at Alert Level 1.
Watch the update here.

It has been confirmed that the positive case is linked to the highly transmissible COVID-19 Delta variant.

Contact tracing locations of interest can be found here.

What this means for you

This is a timely and important reminder to remain vigilant with our personal health, hygiene and wellbeing:

  • If you have cold, flu or COVID-19 symptoms, call your doctor or Healthline and get advice about being tested
  • Practice physical distancing of 1m where possible
  • Use of face coverings is encouraged
  • Continue to keep track of where you've been (Download NZ COVID tracer app)
  • Head to Student Portal and ensure your contact details with us are up to date

On-campus learning and activities

We are still operating to normal class timetables including exams and assessments.  We do know that circumstances can change quickly so it is important to be prepared in the event that we may need to move to an off-campus model including studying from home with access to devices and wifi.
