In Our Own Write Open Mic

In February 2021, the University of Pittsburgh Center for Creativity and Year of Engagement sponsored "In Our Own Write," a creative writing program for LGBTQ+ elders ages 50+.

On Monday, June 28, the anniversary of the first day of the Stonewall Uprising, the C4C will host a virtual community open mic. Students from “In Our Own Write” will share their writing, and community members of all ages can listen and share their own poetry and short prose.

See our webpage for more details, or get your free virtual ticket.

Art of Diversity Showcase

The arts are not a luxury. They both reflect and contain the power to transform ourselves and our world.

The University of Pittsburgh Office of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion and the Center for Creativity invite all members of the University and regional communities to submit creative work for the Art of Diversity Showcase.

We’re looking for pieces that expand diversity consciousness and embrace and celebrate minoritized cultures and perspectives. All entries will be eligible for awards totaling over $3000.

See the webpage for more details and a link to the submissions form.
