New hypoglycaemia digital education programme 

A new version of a digital programme designed to educate people with diabetes and healthcare professionals about how to manage the challenges of hypoglycaemia has been launched.

Novo Nordisk has joined forces with Diabetes Digital Media (DDM) to offer a free digital ‘Hypo Program’ and mobile app, providing a structured suite of personalised educational resources to increase awareness and management of hypoglycaemia in people living with type 1 and type 2 diabetes.

Healthcare professionals who care for people with diabetes are being asked to take a survey related to new language guidance.

The Language Matters; Language and Diabetes guidance was published in June and was developed by NHS England to help encourage positive interactions with people living with diabetes and subsequently positive outcomes.

Antibiotic duration for diabetic foot infections explored

A study to find the most appropriate duration of antibiotic therapy for diabetic foot infections (DFIs) has taken place.
