Tending Trails: 2020 Progress Report
For decades, with support from our donors, Yosemite has partnered with the California Conservation Corps (CCC) to execute high-priority trail projects. A core goal of the program is to put young adults to work in the outstanding natural environment of Yosemite – to benefit the trails and the 18 to 25-year-olds tending them. So far this year, the 2020 CCC crew has restored more than 30 miles of trails. Along the way, corpsmembers learn about environmental science, geology and park history, and gain valuable experience that can help them in future careers.

Updates from ARC’s Summer Course
"I cannot express how different it feels here versus in a classroom," Adventure Risk Challenger Tony says. He’s one of eight high school students heading home after a transformational academic and outdoor experience in Yosemite with ARC this summer. This incredible program empowers youth in California’s Central Valley through leadership, literacy, and wilderness experiences. We’re so grateful to our donors for supporting ARC since 2011!
