Positive action

The National Hospital staff need your help
In these difficult times, we want to do everything that we can to support the incredible team at The National Hospital – from the doctors, nurses and pharmacists to the porters, domestics and support staff. They are working under immense pressure, putting themselves on the frontline and taking on longer shifts to care for patients, including an increasing number with Covid-19 coronavirus.

The National Brain Appeal has set up this emergency care fund so that we can provide immediate and practical assistance where it is needed. This could include supplying healthy snacks and non-perishable food items or personal hygiene products such as toothbrushes/ toothpaste that they can access for free during and after their shifts. But we also want to have funds available to support the staff with any hardships as a result of this crisis and in the immediate aftermath.

They are doing so much for our families, friends and colleagues and we are incredibly grateful. Will you join us to show them how much their efforts are valued and appreciated by making a donation today?

A Letter in Mind

With all this extra stay-at-home time, how about using it to get creative and do some good at the same time?

We will soon launch the seventh A Letter in Mind art fundraiser with the theme Everyday Things.

Your ‘everyday thing’ could be a well-used mug, a much-loved chair or your favourite spot in the garden. It might be your community, a beautiful view or your music practice. However predictable and supposedly routine these ‘things’ are, it’s often doing, using or seeing them that gives us time and space to reflect and help us to navigate our everyday lives.

The exhibition will be held at gallery@oxo on 5-8 November 2020. Watch our social media channels (links below) and your inbox for the official launch in the next few weeks!
