1. Norway investigates source of ongoing Yersinia outbreak

Officials in Norway are investigating an increase of Yersinia enterocolitica infections reported since late April. Based on the range in geography of those infected, it is believed the source is a widely distributed food product.

3. Raw pet food as emerging source of human infection

According to researchers, a UK E. coli outbreak that was linked to raw pet food supports evidence that such products pose a risk for human infections.

Despite the coronavirus pandemic restrictions and reduced travel., health authorities in Finland have noted an increase in Cryptosporidium; 30 times as high as in 2010.
