Studying Mountain Lions

In 2019, Conservancy donors are helping scientists study Yosemite’s mountain lions, a keystone species whose vital role helps regulate populations of prey animals and influences the movements of other predators. With your support, scientists are working to gain valuable insights on this magnificent species’ numbers and needs in the park.

Conserving Ackerson Meadow
|
After officially becoming part of Yosemite National Park in 2016, Ackerson Meadow’s 400 acres will undergo restoration to its natural state! In 2019, donor support is helping map wetlands, assess hydrology, survey species and identify culturally significant resources as park experts plan for large-scale future restoration.
