![]() AAA 2020 Member Update #2The AAA update is our way of communicating with all members. President's messagePlans for the National show are now well underway. The Melbourne Showgrounds will be an excellent location for the show. We can leverage off the papercraft show being held at the showgrounds on the same weekend to ensure that there is a large contingent from the general public to engage with and learn about our industry and attend the trade stands. The EPIC grounds in Canberra could not offer us the same shed set up that we enjoyed in 2019 and we are excited by the opportunities that Melbourne promises. Keep an eye out - more information and sponsorship details will be available soon from our amazing convenors. ![]() AAA President Andrew Munn "meet the AAA member"Are you interested in being featured on AAA social media platforms for "meet the member"? Whether you live in an area that has been effected by drought or fire it is worth marking out a meter square of your paddock and watching what is growing. If this area is growing predominantly weed, your paddocks will be as well. In a fire or drought situation weeds sometimes proliferate the regrowth. If this is happening you may need to control the weeds via chemical methods. The weeds will grow more abundantly when there is little competition and when the soil fertility is low. Do not try and sow a permanent pasture post fire or drought until you have controlled the weeds that may proliferate.
