Reflection

Lord, lead me to look for the positive in all people and in all situations. May I help bring light to those in darkness, and encouragement to those who feel unhappy. May I show as much care for others as I would like them to show for me. Amen.

Greg's Message

Dear Parents and Friends of St Anne’s

I hope that families enjoyed their long weekend. A reminder that the St Vincent de Paul appeal concludes tomorrow. Thank you to those families who have contributed and to those who will contribute tomorrow.

Parent/Teacher/Student Conferences
These meetings will occur on Thursday 24 June for ALL classes. Tara Smith’s planned long service leave has been postponed until term 3, resulting in 5/6SB joining the other classes for parent-teacher interviews on June 24. Please note that the interviews will commence at 1:30pm on this day; students will be dismissed from school at 1pm.

Student Reports
Semester one student reports will be emailed to parents on Friday 18 June.

Staffing
Sarah Parker (4/5PM) will be taking some well deserved Long Service Leave. Sarah will be on leave for the first 6 weeks of term 3, returning to work on Monday 23 August. During Sarah’s absence Miss Erin Greenwood will be teaching 4/5PM on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Una Manicle will continue to teach 4/5PM on Thursday and Fridays.

End of term
Term 2 finishes on Friday June 25. Students will be dismissed at 1pm on this day. Term 3 begins on Monday, 12 July at 8:55am.

Interschool sport
Year 4, 5 and 6 Inter School sport has been postponed until term 3. We still have two winter sport matches remaining. These games have been set down for July 16 and 23.

St Vincent De Paul

St Anne’s School has a long and proud history of supporting the St Vincent de Paul Society Winter Appeal.

Once again St Vinnies are asking for our support. To combat the difficulties of the winter season, a request has been made for non-perishable food items, warm clothing and toiletries. Boxes will be set up outside the classrooms. The final day for donations is Friday 18 June. Thank you for your support.

Religious Education

This Sunday is World Refugee Day. This day is dedicated to raising awareness of the situation of refugees throughout the world. Marked on 20 June annually, it is held in order to draw the public's attention to the millions of refugees and internally displaced persons worldwide who have been forced to flee their homes due to war, conflict and persecution.

St Anne's Primary School 90th Anniversary Cookbook

St Anne's Primary School 90th Anniversary Cookbook

2021 marks the 90th Anniversary of St Anne's Primary School which was opened in February 1931 by the Josephite Sisters.

We will be hosting a series of events in the last week of Term 3 to recognise this significant milestone and as part of this celebration would like to put together a cookbook of family favourite recipes, with contributions from the St Anne's Community, to celebrate 90 years of St Anne's.

We are looking for parent volunteers to form a cookbook committee alongside some of our staff members, so if you love cooking, desktop publishing, being creative, or would just like to be involved, please let Dee McDonnell dmcdonnell@sannkewe.catholic.edu.au or Lisa Hodgkinson paf@sannkewe.catholic.edu.au know.
