Parent Lunch
We are still looking for a parent lunch form from several families. Everyone is expected to participate by coming in to serve seven times during the school year or by paying the fee. Your presence makes all the difference in maintaining a safe playground and efficiently run cafeteria. Thanks in advance for your help, and we hope to see you all for lunch.
On the reverse side of the October parent lunch schedule is an updated summary of the duties for outdoor recess parents. You may be occasionally asked to help in this way, so please review the form so you can be prepared. A copy of the Outside Recess Duties is also posted near the playground bin in the front vestibule.
Parent-Teacher Conferences
In this monthly envelope you will find the form for the first Parent-Teacher Conference. This is a mandatory conference, a chance for you to meet your child’s homeroom teacher and receive the first report card. All families must respond by the due date of October 19th. Choose the day and time that best suits your schedule.
Uniform Code
October 1st marks the end of shorts and polo season. Boys should begin wearing long or short sleeve white or powder blue dress shirts with a tie. Girls should wear white or blue blouses or a turtleneck with their uniform jumper, skirt or slacks. A crosstie is required for the girls when wearing a blouse with slacks. Remember that only uniform sweaters are to be worn in school. Check the on-line handbook for more specifics.
Street Resurfacing
At long last Sacred Heart School will enjoy the pleasure of a smooth play area. We are grateful to the City of Pittsburgh Department of Public Works for this improvement.
