Government to determine 56th Levy Scheme |
|
Unfortunately we were unable to reach an agreement with bookmakers on the 56th Levy Scheme, despite racing making a pragmatic and constructive proposal. The decision will now be sent to the Government for determination.
The process has been an unusual one this year due to the Levy replacement timetable having been set for 1 April 2017. The Minister for Sport confirmed in the House of Commons they are on track to meet this timeline.
Our work continues apace, with Government and others in the industry, to ensure the Levy replacement is at a rate that provides sustainable funding for our sport.
