2019 GP Symposium - The new era in cancer careWe were delighted to host the 2019 GP Symposium: The new era in cancer care on August 17. The full day event was carefully designed to provide GPs with relevant up-to-date information and education, which could be easily adapted to everyday practise. We aimed to deliver learning objectives that meet the needs of the GP, which were designed from direct feedback and learnings from previous Cabrini cancer workshops. This year our event was held at Kooyong Lawn Tennis Club and hosted more than 75 people. We heard from leading specialists covering eight cancer tumour stream topics, inclusive of supportive care, and the very popular session on how sexuality and relationships impacted a patient diagnosed with cancer.
