No images? Click here Kia ora koutou katoa, Earlier this month I wrote to you about the new Ministry strategy we have been putting together. At every stage it has been driven by the views and needs of ethnic communities. That's how it should be and how we will keep working. In April we ran a series of workshops and an online survey. The aim was to make sure our strategic priorities reflected what was important for our communities. We had a great response with hundreds of people sharing their thoughts and hopes for the future. We took what people told us, along with what we had heard in many conversations, and used the information to develop our strategic priorities. This is the first building block of our new Ministry strategy. Now we are going to give communities the chance to have their say on the next part - our roadmap of actions. This sets out the steps we will take to bring our priorities to life. How to get involvedOnline sessionsJust like last time we are hosting a series of workshops so people can discuss the actions and share their views. Because of the current COVID-19 restrictions everything will be done online. You will find the schedule of Zoom events, and how to sign-up on our website. Online surveyWe know these times will not work for everyone. So, just like last time we have built an online survey. That way everyone can join in whenever it suits them. You will find more information on our website. I hope you will take the time to have your say. Please help share this with the communities you work with and are part of. The more perspectives we have, the better. Take care of yourselves. Ngā mihi nui Mervin Singham |
