John Mulhall To Become Editor-In-Chief of the JSM

The ISSM is pleased to announce that Dr. John P. Mulhall will become the next editor-in-chief of The Journal of Sexual Medicine (JSM).

A native of Dublin, Ireland, Dr. Mulhall is currently the Director of the Male Sexual and Reproductive Medicine Program at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City.

Dr. Mulhall takes the helm of the JSM with many years of editorial experience. He has been an associate editor of the JSM since it began. He has also published more than 250 papers in peer-reviewed journals, written over 50 book chapters, and edited 5 medical textbooks.

“It is a great honor to be appointed the new editor-in-chief of JSM. The enormity of the task in following Irwin Goldstein is clear, but I am up to the challenge," Dr. Mulhall said in a statement.

He continued, "I want JSM 2.0 to continue to be relevant, rigorous and readable. I want to grow the journal’s stature and embrace new digital technology to give the reader a truly interactive experience. My aim is to improve our impact factor, as well as educate and train the next generation of sexual medicine clinicians and researchers and ensure that we have highly-skilled young people who will take over the future generations of JSM."
