Work in Denmark Spouse Programme

Work in Denmark has launched a new and improved spouse programme. This is a 6 month job-targeted programme assisting the accompanying spouses of international workers in Denmark with their job search.  It provides assistance with the spouse’s CV, cover letter, competencies, possible job openings and internships. It differs from the past programme because of an increased focus on better matching candidates with suitable companies and the CV’s only being sent to companies with matching qualification needs.  You can find out more here.

New option for international scientific staff to have pension contributions paid out as salary

New international employees and existing international employees can opt to have their pension contribution paid out as salary if they:

 - Are employed as academic staff members or salaried PhD fellows
 - Do not hold Danish citizenship
 - Are registered with a non-Danish address at the time of job application
 - Are employed in a fixed-term position for a maximum period of five years including renewals

If the new employee wants to have the pension contribution paid out as salary, the employee will be covered by group life insurance instead of the pension scheme of the collective agreement. The group life insurance premium currently amounts to DKK 108.35 per month. The premium payment will be deducted from the salary.  Read the the information in our webpage, including the details on how to apply.
