Click here An Update from our CEOAs we reflect on another busy and productive month for the Committee, I am pleased to share a newsletter that highlights the strength, momentum and collaboration of our business community. Following the release of the 2026–27 Victorian State Budget, Committee for Wyndham members joined an exclusive online briefing with John Lister MP, Member for Werribee. The session provided valuable insight into key announcements and what they mean for Wyndham’s infrastructure, services, workforce and economic growth. It also reinforced the importance of continuing to advocate for our region and ensuring Wyndham’s voice is part of the conversations that shape our future. This month also saw strong business connection across the region. I was pleased to join the panel at Commonwealth Bank’s Western Melbourne Client Connection Lunch, and Committee for Wyndham was proud to take part in the WYNnovation Business Expo, delivered by Wyndham City Council. Both events reflected the value of bringing leaders together to share ideas, discuss opportunities and strengthen our region’s business community. We also celebrated the opening of the HOBAN Distribution Development Centre in Truganina, an important investment in workforce development for Melbourne’s west. As Wyndham continues to grow as a major logistics and employment hub, initiatives like this are vital in creating local employment pathways and supporting industry with job-ready talent. I am delighted to welcome our newest members, Perform Projects and Banksia Strategic Partners, and to thank Dennis Family Corporation, CSCG Accounting and Holiday Inn for renewing their memberships. Our members are central to our work, and each new and returning member strengthens our collective voice through advocacy, connection and collaboration. Our upcoming State Treasurer’s 2026 Budget Briefing with the Hon. Jaclyn Symes MP is now officially sold out, reflecting the strong interest in Wyndham’s role in conversations about investment, infrastructure and future prosperity. Looking ahead, we also have a number of valuable member and business events coming up, including our Business Leaders Lunch with Dennis Family Corporation, the Werribee Mercy Emergency Department tour and our Annual Economic Update Lunch with the Commonwealth Bank. I look forward to seeing many of you at these upcoming events as we continue working together to advance Wyndham’s future. Yours sincerely,
Leanne Down CEO, Committee for Wyndham

A Strategic Look at Melbourne’s West
Hosted by Committee for Wyndham member 3 Minds Consulting Group, the event will bring together leaders from industry, government, business, health, education, research and community for a serious, evidence-informed conversation about Melbourne’s West a region operating at scale across freight, logistics, health, education, industry and community life. At the centre of the day is a key question: what is all the fuss about the West or more importantly, why is there not more fuss? The event is designed to challenge assumptions, create new connections across sectors, and spark a forward-looking conversation about what is being built now, what the next three to five years will demand, and who is paying attention early enough to help shape what comes next.
