UNDERGRADUATE OPPORTUNITIES

The Fear of Forgetting - Survey

We are undergraduate psychology students at Duquesne University doing research on younger and older adult’s level of anxiety towards forgetting various things across our daily lives like forgetting deadlines for assignments or remembering to handle one’s own financial matters on time.

You will remain anonymous for as long as the research goes on. And may opt out whenever if you need to. More information surrounding this is provided in our consent form.

You may access the survey through the link provided below and will only take roughly 15-20 minutes, but if you have any questions/concerns, please reach out to one of the researchers in the consent form. Thank you!

Experiential Learning Opportunities

Are you interested in gaining hands-on experience and building your professional network? Check out the many ways the Department of Psychology can support student learning outside the classroom on our Experiential and Enhanced Learning page.

Save the Date - Undergraduate Psychology Conference

The annual conference will take place on April 12, 2025.

This year, we have joined forces with the Western Pennsylvania Undergraduate Psychology Conference (WPUPC), with the hope of expanding our student’s network, and providing them with the experience of a large and diverse conference. Schools that routinely attend WPUPC include Gannon, Mercyhurst, Penn State Behrend, Theil, NYU Fredonia, Chatham, Slippery Rock, Westminster, Allegheny, Duquesne, and Robert Morris.

Thus, the combined LH - WPUPC Undergraduate Psychology Conference will take place at the PennWest California campus.

As in previous years, the conference offers students interested in psychology an opportunity to see the varied areas that the field covers, explore the types of activities they can be involved in as undergraduates, and talk with students and faculty about the discipline. This is a great venue for students to enhance their understanding of the field, spark interests in various psychological areas and develop skills relevant to the dissemination of scientific studies. Research presented at the conference can cover a wide array of areas in psychology including clinical, cognitive, developmental, behavioral, social, industrial-organizational, sport, health, and neuroscience, to name a few.

Student researchers can elect to present their research via poster or in an oral presentation session, and the conference will also include continental breakfast, lunch, and a keynote speaker. We invite you to attend and celebrate our students’ scholarship in psychological science.

Thank you for your time, and please contact me if you have any questions.
