Improving communication during a period of corporate change
The only thing that’s certain in today’s fast-paced business world is that change is inevitable. Touchy areas such as management changes, corporate realignments, the introduction of new internal processes and technologies, as well as significant growth initiatives all need to be navigated absolutely perfectly to make sure a business gets the full benefit of the change its undertaking. And yet, the track record for most businesses isn’t that great – with only one in three corporate changes succeeding, according to survey by the consulting firm McKinsey and Company, which polled 3,199 global executives on the success of their corporate changes.
Speaking to the Calgary Chamber on April 23, 2012, Lindsay Hutter, global director of H+K Strategies change and internal communications practice, offered managers a number of tips on how to effectively communicate during a period of change.

Of course, the goal is always to get and stay in that middle ground, he added.
Doyle spoke at a Calgary Chamber event on May 2, 2012, during which he outlined a few key drivers such as global population growth and an expanding middleclass in developing countries that he believes will support continued demand for his business.
