JudgingComputer Programming and Robotics entries must book a judging appointment before Tuesday 6 August. Crystal Investigation, Models & Inventions, Photography & Poster entries are to be delivered to Festival Functions (292 Findon Rd, Findon) on Friday 23 August. Judging will happen on Saturday 24 August.

2019 Early Career Teachers Conference
11 October, Immanuel CollegeThe Early Career Teachers Conference is aimed at teachers in their first five years of teaching science/STEM or those who are new to a specialist science or STEM role.
This is an opportunity for early career and pre-service teachers to engage in interactive learning activities that will deepen your understanding of the science content and will give you the skills and resources to engage your students in learning. The PROGRAM IS NOW AVAILABLE (200 KB PDF) and includes specialised hands-on workshops for both primary and secondary teachers.
2019 STEM Conference (Years 6–11)
29 November, Adelaide Botanic High SchoolThe conference is currently seeking presentations that address a range of the content and pedagogies of the Australian Curriculum: Mathematics, Science, Design & Technology and ICT.
Presentations should be 60 minutes long and actively involve participants in the professional learning through a practical and investigative approach.
Sessions that relate to real-world examples of contemporary STEM are encouraged.

Stage 2 Trial Exams
Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Psychology & NutritionThe SASTA SACE Stage 2 Trial Exams are a 'must have' resource, developed by leading teachers. This resource will familiarise teachers and students with the SACE Stage 2 exam format and teachers will be able to use the resource as a stand-alone assessment tool or to develop exam preparation skills. Copies can only be ordered by emailing Rebecca at office@sasta.asn.au

Applications for South Australian Space School 2019
are now open.Please encourage your Year 10 students to apply to attend the 3 day residential conference 9–11 October in the school holidays. Resident astronaut will be former NASA Astronaut Dan Tani. Application forms can be found at https://www.spaceschool.com/apply Due date 30 August 30 2019.

SCINEMA for SchoolsYou can now access 23 films and four dedicated school playlists from this year’s SCINEMA International Science Film Festival in support of National Science Week (10-18 August).
Each school playlist comes with a related SCINEMA teacher resource pack containing, lesson inspiration, classroom activities and thought-provoking questions, all linked to the Australian National Curriculum.
You need to register to host a SCINEMA screening to access the films.
