Stat Of The Week

 
 

Did you know? In Fiji, gross tourism earnings were only 3% of GDP in 2020, a significant drop from the previous year (17% in 2019). This decrease was mainly due to the COVID-19 pandemic. More info

 

Did you know? In Fiji, 19.61% of seats are held by women in the national parliament, up from 14% in 2015. These gender inequalities remain in many countries in the world. More info

 

Nine-tenths of the land area of Solomon Islands is covered by forest. The Pacific Region (excluding Australia and New Zealand) has the highest forest cover of any region in the world. It is crucial to protect these forests because we depend on them for our survival, from supporting our livelihoods and providing habitats for animals, to cleaning the air we breathe and mitigating climate change.
