Regional dog owners have until October 31 to benefit from a 20 per cent discount on full pet registration payments.

CouncillorConnect visits at a new time in October

The next round of regional CouncillorConnect visits on Thursday, October 31 will be held at 4pm.

Venues will be the Baffle Creek Sport and Recreation Shed, Builyan Community Hall, Boyne Island Environmental Education Centre and Raglan QCWA Hall.

Afternoon tea is open to all community members from 4pm to 4.45pm with 20-minute individual meetings with Councillors available from 4.45pm to 6.30pm.

Big Tipper Bucket to pour out the fun for youngsters

The Big Tipper Bucket, the centrepiece of the Gladstone Aquatic Centre's new Splash Zone water play park, was lifted into place on October 4 via a 16-tonne crane.

The bucket holds 500 litres of water which is dumped in a drenching wave on children below.

The $2.5 million Splash Zone facility, which opens on November 17, will also feature water jets and cannons, sprays and bubblers and a toddlers' pool. Read more…
