His creations are striking visual chronicles of the American penal system. Batle's new hyper-detailed, surreal playing card drawings will also be shown. The opening reception and winter party for INTUIT will take place on January 19 from 6.30–9.00 pm. Ricco/Maresca Gallery American Folk Art Museum, New York![]() Henry Darger January 21 – May 27, 2018 "Vestiges & Verses: Notes from the Newfangled Epic" will show the work of 21 self-taught artists, with a focus on the writing practices of the artists. Artists include Adolf Wolfli, Henry Darger, Paul Laffoley, Aloïse Corbaz, Josep Baqué and Susan Te Kahurangi King. Organised by Valérie Rousseau, the exhibition will include rare manuscripts, drawings conceived in series, illustrated diaries, an evolving imaginary map, multi-part collages and journals with coded language. The works will be complemented by digital publications, audio recordings and short films. American Folk Art Museum Museum im Lagerhaus, St. Gallen![]() Else Blankenhorn until March 4, 2018 Museum im Lagerhaus presents Swiss works from the Prinzhorn Collection in Heidelberg. The exhibition includes work by Heinrich Anton Muller, Adolf Wölfli and Karl Maximilian Wurtenberger. Never before have the ceramic sculptures of Wurtenberger from Lake Constance been juxtaposed with his drawings from the psychiatric hospital.
