How does CDA 2030 serve the community? This is a great example of how we create community connections...
The United Way of North Idaho recently received $50,000 from Community Development Block Grants in child care scholarships through The City of Coeur d'Alene. Community members can apply for a scholarship HERE.
How were we involved? Our board has selected, Affordable Childcare (Implementation Action C&I 3.3), to focus our efforts on in 2021. Our Executive Director serves on the Early Care and Education Task Force. Through her service, she has been educated on the childcare needs of our community. She also serves on the Community Development Block Grant Committee. When it came time to award grants CDA 2030 was able to inform the committee of the strong community need for early care and education support.
To learn more about the community need for quality childcare see our most recent post and visit The United Way of North Idaho's website.
