These two sound artists first encountered each other in New York in the early 1970s, and this led to many exchanges between two musical approaches paying particular attention to microtones, the play of partials, and the resulting vibrating sound clouds. Almost 50 years later, both composers have entrusted their music to Quatuor Bozzini. Radigue's Occam Delta XV - an intimate, almost immaterial work - will be played before Disseminate as five string quartets: a sound wall arranged specifically for the QB: two contrasting works that are united by a virtuoso exploration of the inner life of sounds.
