Annual Breakfast Profiles Powerful Programs

Thank you to all who showed their support for students last week through both our Annual Breakfast and the GiveBIG Seattle online fundraising event! With your tremendous support, a record-breaking $103,000 was raised for our programs that help all students reach their personal and academic potential!

Guests visited with students who shared presentations from the recent STEM Expo, met the robot from the Edmonds Heights K-12 Atomic Robotics team, and heard from Kira and Kylie, seniors at Mountlake Terrace High as they talked about their amazing STEM research opportunities. A true highlight of the program were videos profiling the work of our new Music Lab program, a collaborative partnership between the Foundation, the Rotary Club of Edmonds Daybreakers and the Edmonds School District. One video featured the powerful songwriting and mentorship program at Scriber Lake High, and the other shared the All-Girl Middle School Jazz Band. The Foundation is proud to support programs like the Music Lab collaboration, that cultivate powerful, and often life-changing, learning experiences. This work is made possible by your generous donations—thank you!

Did we miss you at the Breakfast? You can still show your support for the Foundation by making a gift today!  Together, we are shaping students’ futures!

Venues and Showtimes Vary

The Foundation is proud to sponsor the 17th Annual Jazz Connection, a local music festival, that includes a full day of performances featuring local High School and Middle School jazz programs, and special performances from nationally recognized professional musicians. Guests will have the chance to hear from some of our famed performing groups, including:

• All-Girls Middle School Jazz Band
• Edmonds-Woodway High School Jazz I
• Mountlake Terrace High Schools Jazz I

Both high schools recently returned from the prestigious Essentially Ellington competition! Performances are free, but donations are being collected to support our school music programs, like the Music Lab, that benefit students around our district.
