With an upcoming album titled, Stampede of the Disco Elephants, on the rise and scheduled to be released later this year, you’d think that Fred Durst of Limp Bizkit fame would have plenty on his plate. 90’s throwback performances are all the rage these days. So it was a fantastic surprise when CEG exclusive act Color Me Badd hit the stage with R&B groups Troop and Silk at last month’s BET Awards. The pop trio revved up the audience with a rendition of their international hit I Wanna Sex You Up and everyone, including Snoop Dogg, was singing and dancing along. Six episodes of CBS’s Big Brother Summer Mayhem have gone to air so far and our very own DJ Paola Shea is making quite a splash this season. As the DJ in the house, Paola tells Big Brother host Jeff Schroeder that she would have liked to bring her turn tables with her and start a house party for other contestants. She also discussed her strategy to win, “I’ll lay low and try not to be myself as much.” As a big fan of Big Brother, Paola Shea feels that her best attribute is her dynamic personality and keeping that under control will be her biggest challenge. While your Independence Day was probably filled with barbecued food, fireworks, and shear patriotism, your favorite breakthrough act, Heffron Drive, spent their day in Washington DC performing their single, “Parallel,” live from the US Capitol. The special, titled “A Capitol Fourth,” was broadcasted on, not only PBS, but live on NPR member stations and the American Forces Network, as well, reaching audiences in over 175 countries worldwide. For their performance, Kendall Schmidt sang the track as Dustin Belt played guitar alongside The National Symphony Orchestra, giving the performance a fresh new twist, all while leaving fans paralyzed with adoration.
