There is a lot happening in Greater Des Moines. Here is a sampling of our recent economic development successes:Johnston will serve as a site for a Global Business Center
for the agriculture company that DowDuPont plans to create. The Iowa Economic Development Authority (IEDA) board has awarded assistance to the company, which already has a presence in Johnston through DuPont Pioneer. The newly created agriculture company will retain 250 to 500 research and development jobs in Johnston. DuPont plans to spend $500 million in research and development over the next five years. in West Des Moines received an award from IEDA to renovate its office to accommodate future growth, including a $7 million capital investment and the creation of 40 jobs. Businessolver is a benefits technology company. The Global Insurance Accelerator has announced its second class of six startups, and was recently featured in Forbes for having attracted twice as many applications in 2016
