Lunch Ticket Refunds

Send any unused lunch tickets in an envelope marked with your child’s name and homeroom.

You will be refunded $2.25 for each ticket returned.  All 2016-17 tickets must be refunded before school is over.
Grades K, 8, and Preschool on May 30th
Grades 1-7 on June 1st and 2nd

Fees Owed

Some families received in last month’s envelope an accounting of  fees owed for Afterschool, Band, Parent Lunch, and Lunch Tickets. Your accounts must up to date for Grades 8 and K to graduate.  Students in other grades will not receive a final report card until all fees are reconciled.

Summer Camp

If your child is entering grades K-2 next year, consider the Creative Kids Camp here at Sacred Heart the weeks of June 12 and 19.  It is a fun way to stay connected with friends and meet new friends.  Lots of fun activities are planned with a holiday theme.  The registration form is available on our website.  There are still a few spots available in Week Two.

Parent Lunch Program

The Parent Lunch form for next year went home in the last envelope.  Note that each family will be required to come in seven times, and the fee has increased from $90 to $120. More working families coupled with an increase in families who choose to pay, have made extending parent help through four quarters very tricky.  Please make your choice on the lunch form and ASAP. If you can find  a way to come in, your children love seeing you.

Forms in the Envelope:

- Uniform ordering
- Supply list
- Physical Exam (K, 6,)/Dental forms(K, 3,7)
- Summer Reading
- Pastor Verification (if applicable)

Summer Reading

Students entering grades 5, 6, 7, and 8 should look for assigned summer reading in this family envelope.  These book titles and directions will also be posted on the website.  Barnes and Noble stores will have them available for your convenience.

Mrs. Kilbane has also included a summer reading pamphlet for all grade levels to encourage summer reading.  “Be a smart cookie” and READ!

SchoolKidz

Our school is participating in the SchoolKidz Teacher Tailored School Supply Kit Program. It is an easy and convenient solution for parents to meet the back-to-school needs of our students. Orders can be made online and each kit is filled with the specific school supplies requested by our teachers. Kits are personalized and include a sheet of name labels for each child.  Everything is delivered directly to school so students are ready on the first day. Pricing is below retail, saving you money.  Each kit gets your child a chance to win an iPad Mini.

Best of all, the program eliminates the aggravation, time, and hassle of running store-to-store to find all of the items that you need (and a lot that you don't!). More than that, you can also order other supplies at discounted prices during the sale -- backpacks, lunch bags, water bottles, and more. A portion of the proceeds of this sale will benefit the PTG.  Look for a flyer in this month's envelope, or order online at http://www.shopttkits.com/ , school account #8630.  The sale begins Thursday, May 25 and ends Friday, June 23.  Contact Julie Evans, juliee@paar.net  with any questions.

Summer reading programs at Barnes & Noble

School's almost out, but the fun is still in at Barnes & Noble at the Waterfront!

Summer reading kicks off May 15th

Encourage students (grades 1-6) to read books of their own choosing and earn a FREE book.

Tell us which part of the book is your favorite, and why.  Bring your completed journal to a Barnes & Noble store between May 16th and September 5th, 2017.  Choose a FREE reading adventure form the book list featured on the back of the journal.
