#GivingTuesday 2016This is Lisa. When she was 14 she started to have seizures. Doctors found they were due to a deep-seated cavernoma, which was unlikely to be operable. However, as she grew older her epilepsy grew worse and she was referred to The National Hospital. Thanks to advances in technology, a neurosurgeon here believed it was possible to operate and improve Lisa's quality of life. Luckily, the operation was a success and now she is seizure-free and hugely grateful to all the staff at the hospital who helped her. Lisa is just one of the many patients every year who are helped by The National Hospital. We want to help more patients like Lisa by funding projects, research and training for clinicians here in Queen Square. Today is #GivingTuesday - a global day of giving after straight after Black Friday Thank you.
