We are especially looking for people to join these events in 2020: London Landmarks Half Marathon Sunday 29 March: A closed road, central London run. The only half marathon to go through both the City of London and City of Westminster. Deadline closes in early February for this – sign up ASAP! London Vitality 10,000 Monday 25 May: This popular 10k starts and finishes in The Mall and follows a clockwise route around central London. Prudential Ride London (46 mile & 100 mile bike ride) Sunday 16 August An amazing cycle event which kicks off at the Olympic Stadium in Stratford, heads out into the countryside and back to London, passing iconic landmarks for a thrilling gala finish on the Mall. Royal Parks Half Marathon Sunday 11 October A 13.5 mile run, taking in some of the capital’s world-famous landmarks, and four of London’s eight Royal Parks. Save the date: 27 April. This is when we will be opening applications for supporters to run in the London Marathon 2021. Is this race on your bucket list? Or do know you anyone who would love to run it for a great cause? We welcome all applications – and all running abilities! By taking on a challenge we can guarantee a real sense of achievement, plus every pound you raise will help to improve the lives of people affected by a neurological condition. Show a little Queen Square loveHave you received treatment at The National Hospital – or maybe a family member or friend did? Whether it was recent or decades ago, if you feel your care and treatment at Queen Square improved life, we'd love to hear from you and learn about your reason for supporting The National Brain Appeal. Our aim is to feature some of your messages during our 'I love Queen Square' week on social media – which will also tie in with Valentine's Day. We would also like to share your gratitude in a brand new spot on our website homepage. Brain tumour careIf you're curious to learn more about The National Hospital and the vital projects that are happening next, come along to our next Awareness Day. It has been organised for those who have generously supported our work in the past or are considering supporting us in the future and would like to find out more about us. The National Brain Appeal funds many projects and areas in the hospital, but this event will be focusing on our work to support the diagnosis, treatment and care of people with brain tumours. Future events will look at different areas of our work, so, if you would like to be kept informed about other upcoming awareness events, please do let us know below.
