The Final Report has eight Enduring Strategies and 30 Recommendations which seek to drive a cultural and behavioural shift across the health system. The Enduring Strategies were developed following extensive engagement and are informed by evidence and best practice, and were consistently reinforced in discussions with stakeholders in metropolitan and country areas. Mentally Healthy Workplaces for FIFO workersThe State Government has launched Australia's first code of practice to help promote and maintain mentally healthy workplaces for fly-in-fly out (FIFO) workers in the resources and construction sectors. Cancer Council WA Find Cancer Early CampaignCancer Council WA have launched a new Find Cancer Early website. The site aims to improve regional cancer survival outcomes as research shows regional Western Australians are 20 – 30 per cent more likely to die within five years of a cancer diagnosis than people living in Perth. The new website has been designed to improve regional Western Australian's understanding of the early symptoms of prostate, breast, skin, bowel and lung cancer and encourage them to report any unusual changes in their body to their doctor, clinic nurse or Aboriginal health worker early. To raise awareness in Western Australia, Injury Matters created a Youth Injury Prevention Toolkit which outlines what we can do to help prevent the common causes of injury among young adults in WA all year ‘round. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples Injury Resource KitIn Australia between 2011 and 2015, injury was the second most common cause for hospital admissions among Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and injury and poisoning was the third leading cause of death. The Injury Matters, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples Injury Resource Kit provides an injury overview and a list of injury prevention resources.
