Our Workshop on Concrete Safety Barriers will be held Friday, 2 March 2018 from 9:30 till 15:00 in our premises.

Various topics will be discussed over the day including the European standard EN1317, the application of CE-marking, the life cycle cost of concrete safety barriers, their durability and their construction by slipform paving.

Each participant will receive a copy of EUPAVE’s publication “Concrete Safety Barriers: A Safe and Sustainable Choice”

Around 70 papers have now been selected for oral presentations and 30 for poster presentations by the International Technical Promotion Committee! The programme of the conference will be released within the next days.

GIVASA, SA was founded in October 1985 in Castellbisbal (province of Barcelona), with the aim of offering the study, development and realization of road safety works for new infrastructure and for the improvement and conservation of the existing ones.
Later, in 1995, the company expanded its activity by incorporating the supply and installation of in situ concrete safety barriers on European roads according to the existing regulations.
Its sales policy is licensing European producers that already have slipform concrete machines or working directly for the final client.

Our partner TRBA held a technical visit the 30 January 2018 in Peruwelz (Belgium) to introduce their new machine, the Wirtgen SP1500. A 40 cm thick concrete test section was built in preparation of the construction project of the Luxembourg airport extension. 

The day started with the presentation of the project and was followed by the site visit before a lunch at the Domaine D'Arondeau.
