This is a skill our boys will need to develop. The eagle-eyed amongst the student community may have also noticed the launch of the official St Patrick's College Facebook and Instagram profiles. COLLEGE NOTICES–––––– RUGBY MOTHERS HIGH TEA–––––– Run by the Old Boys Rugby Club all Rugby Mothers are invited to High tea at the top of the Crichton Building overlooking Breen Oval from 2.15pm on Saturday 27 July. The cost is $15 and for catering purposes we do ask that you book your ticket through the link below. Bookings close Thursday evening 25 July. SUPPORTER'S DUTY–––––– A reminder that Year 10 have been designated supporter’s duty on Saturday 27 July. All boys are to report to the Powell Pavilion between 1.00pm and 1.15pm to have their names marked off. Once this has been completed, boys will move to SPC No. 2 to support the College 1st XI and await further instructions. Boys will be dismissed at the conclusion of the 1st XV game, approximate time is 4.50pm. MASSES FOR TERM 3–––––– As always, all are welcome at Friday morning Mass at 8.15am in the Chapel throughout the term. Please note who is due to lead each Mass from the schedule in the link below. BUS SERVICE ADJUSTMENTS–––––– To improve reliability and meet customer demand, timetable adjustments will occur on many bus routes from Sunday 28 July. there are also changes to the timetables of many school services. SENIOR SCHOOL–––––– GUEST PUBLISHER VISIT–––––– To help prepare students for the upcoming Write a Book in a Day competition, we were lucky to have hosted publisher Clare Hallifax in the Diverse Learning Centre. INTERNATIONAL SCIENCE SCHOOL–––––– During the holidays, Lemuel Fernandez (Year 11) attended the International Science School along with 126 students from around the world. " The long view with respect to improvements in learning is one we encourage them to take. These are often incremental and not spectacular. Boys need patience... in order to improve." As part of this learning, one of the classes was challenged to investigate an issue of their choice and visually represent it to young children and their parents. MARKET DAY–––––– Each year at St Patrick's College, Year 9 Commerce students study a topic called Running a Business. CO-CURRICULAR–––––– FROM THE JUNIOR SCHOOL COORDINATOR OF CO-CURRICULAR–––––– The final day of Term 2 saw the Junior School participate in its annual House Athletics Carnival. FROM THE HEAD OF SECONDARY SPORT–––––– This term sees the winter teams chasing Premierships, with many well-positioned to improve on last year's success in Rugby, Football and Tennis. PERFORMING ARTS SHOWCASE–––––– The Performing Arts Showcase will be staged in the College Gymnasium on Thursday 1 August, commencing at 6.30pm.
