'Walking Wooroloo' - Mundaring Hills Historical Society

Sunday 5 May
'Walking Wooroloo' is part of the National Trust's Australian Heritage Month.

Join a local historian on a leisurely 1 km stroll around the Wooroloo town-site. As you walk, hear stories from the days when Wooroloo was an important stopping place on the Eastern Railway.

This 90 minute guided tour features visits to some of the local heritage buildings and sites, and the opportunity to view unique photographs relating to the Tuberculosis Sanatorium and Hospital. 10.30am-12pm.

Enjoy a relaxing and fun day at this glorious property that is all about slowing down, getting back to simplicity and savouring the satisfaction and pride that accompanies creating wholesome food from scratch. This workshop aims to help you to incorporate more wholefoods into your diet thereby reducing the consumption of processed and packaged foods. Many of the recipes can be made in bulk, then stored or frozen so you always have something wholesome and nourishing in the pantry. Marloo Theatre Presents Arsenic and Old Lace

This play is a farcical black comedy revolving around the Brewster family, descended from the Mayflower settlers, but now composed of insane homicidal maniacs. The hero, Mortimer Brewster, is a drama critic who must deal with his crazy, homicidal family and local police in Brooklyn, New York, as he debates whether to go through with his recent promise to marry the woman he loves, Elaine Harper, who lives next door and is the daughter of the local minister.

The Bay Tree Cafe, Tapas & Bistro - Mexican themed menu

Exploring the many marvellous items that have been Made in Mundaring’.

From the granite slabs quarried at Mahogany Creek for the Perth GPO, to the beautiful stained-glass windows made in Greenmount by Gowers & Brown, the range of building materials, foods, domestic objects, artworks and inventions made locally is extraordinary.


The labour and creativity of people in the past and present is acknowledged in the array of objects displayed and in the stories of the individuals who made them. Open Mon-Sat 9.30am-4pm, Sun & Public Hols 10am-2.30pm. Museum is co-located with the Mundaring Visitor Centre, 7225 Great Eastern Highway, Mundaring.
