What’s happening in our community
Thursday 5 August 2021
From our CEO, Frank Zaknich

The ground-breaking Albury Wodonga Regional Deal has delivered its first major project to our region, with the work pointing towards more exciting improvements for the border cities once the Deal is formally signed.

Message from Mayor Kevin Mack

The area between the Albury Swim Centre and the Murray River is being transformed as preliminary works continue to create the Riverside Precinct - our new waterfront playground and visitor attraction.

Bridge milestone as trail extension continues

The first of four new bridges on the Wagirra Trail extension is steadily taking shape, as we work towards opening up new areas of beautiful riverside country to walkers and riders. Decking is now being placed on the suspension bridge, which crosses a lagoon, with work to start soon on three more bridges along the 12-kilometre trail extension.

Making a difference to communities

Did you know that local government in NSW employs more than 55,000 people? As part of Local Government Week we're promoting some of the great things that councils do - including creating careers for local people.

Beautiful Bella up for adoption

Bella the two-year-old staffy is our latest pet of the week in need of a home. Bella's sweet-natured and friendly, and she'd love to be part of a family that will give plenty of affection and attention. She's just one of several dogs and cats up for adoption at the Albury Animal Care Centre, so why not find out if we have your new family member ready to adopt?
