Dear customer, Happy New Year! We hope you had a safe and happy festive season. Last quarter we celebrated the success of West Auckland businesses at the Westpac Auckland West Business Awards – where Peter was a judge for the sixth year. We had a lot of fun at the Waitakere Festival, which Smith and Partners were once again proud to sponsor. We also announced the finalists for the Smith and Partners Law Scholarships and commemorated our official 25th anniversary and 40 years of Peter practising law. As the 25th act of giving for our 25 for 25 project, just before Christmas we made a donation to the Rangatira (Children’s) ward at Waitakere Hospital. In staff news we welcomed a new solicitor, Robert Akroyd to the team. He will be working closely with Carolyn Ranson on employment law, estates and elder law. Fiona Taylor was promoted to the position of Registered Legal Executive, where she continues her excellent work assisting clients with their residential conveyancing. Carmen Franich replaced Fiona as Wade & Eddie’s personal assistant and Kelly Rarere joined us to replace Victoria Zangel who has gone on maternity leave. We're looking forward to catching up and assisting you in 2014 as we continue to help develop and grow West Auckland business and community. Regards, Peter, Greg, Wade & Ruth |
